How does Ten Minute Box help learners move on in literacy?
When learners have mastered basic phonics and keywords they may need support to move on to the next stage of literacy: digraphs. Following the success of the Five Minute Literacy Box, the Ten Minute Box uses the same structured, multisensory principles to teach 50 digraphs. Fun activities incorporate evidence-based specialist teaching methods to maximise learning of sounds in isolation, curriculum words and sentences.
Our recent article in Headteacher Magazine and Teachwire explains why digraphs can be so challenging to learn; how the intervention helps overcome this; why it is so easy to use and track progress, and who is suitable to use the resource.
